We were challenged with one goal: Introduce Tom Brady to Delta Air Line employees in an authentic and engaging way. Easy right? Not so much. How do you take a Super Bowl champ like Tom and make him feel approachable? You throw out the script. And that's exactly what I suggested we do. Despite being tasked to craft an inspiring monologue for Tom to read on camera, I pushed back, hard. My main argument? How can we expect people to believe Tom is genuine when the words he's speaking were in fact written by someone else?

After throwing out the original plan, our team worked to create an exhaustive list of interview prompts in order to let Tom do what he does best, shine under pressure. By allowing him to answer this questions in real time, we were able to tap into a sense of who he is and his passion for this new chapter at Delta.
